Beautiful winery overlooking Long Island Sound. This is just one of many North Fork wineries that you should check out! We recommend Bedell Cellars, Sparkling Pointe, Macari Vineyards, Mattebella Vineyards (delicious sangria!!) and Lieb Cellars to name a few. Visit https://northforkwinetrail.org for more info.
Easily accessible via the North Ferry from Greenport -- you can walk, drive or take your bike on the ferry. Shelter Island is a pretty island to explore and Sunset Beach is a great place to eat, drink and people watch. You can also take the South Ferry from Shelter Island to Sag Harbor, which is another cute town, and accessible to the rest of the Hamptons.
While the various hamlets in the North Fork are all charming in their own way, Greenport is worth spending some time in. It's a super cute fishing village with a lot of character, good restaurants and fun to be had.
The North Fork is full of farms and many of the local restaurants source the ingredients from these farms and seafood from the Peconic Bay. Other restaurant recommendations include Caci, American Beech, PORT, and 1943 Pizza Bar.
Patrons come to the park primarily for relaxing, picnicking, enjoying the peaceful outdoors, and various recreational activities. Visitors can swim in the bay, fish from shore, go kayaking, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boarding, go hiking or biking, or walk a nature trail.
