Flight

Flights

For those traveling from out of state, you will likely fly into Denver International Airport ("DIA" - airport code DEN). DIA is 2 hours from Vail so we recommend either renting a car or booking a shuttle from there to get you up to the mountains. You can also fly into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), which is 30-40 minutes from Vail.

Rental Car

Rental Cars & Shuttles

There are MANY options for car rentals and shuttle services to Vail. We suggest looking around to see what best suits you and your needs. Peak 1 Express shuttle vans seems to be one the most cost effective/efficient services. https://www.mountainshuttle.com/shuttle-destinations/vail/ Vail Resorts also has a discounted rate for Epic Mountain Express shuttle services, which will drop you at your specific lodging. https://www.epicmountainexpress.com/reservations?_macode=VRMEWEDEAGLE If you plan to stay in the town of Vail, shuttling should suffice - Vail has free bus services to get you around once there. If you would like to explore the valley outside the town of Vail, we recommend renting a car, as Lyfts/Ubers are limited. NOTE: overnight parking in Vail is not cheap - you can expect to pay $45-$60 depending where you are staying/where you park.

Hotel

Stay in Vail Village or Lionshead

We suggest staying in Vail Village or Lionshead Village. Our ceremony is on the Holy Cross Event Deck (Lionshead) and reception is at Chasing Rabbits (Vail Village). The villages are walking distance (15 mins) and there are also in-town shuttles (<5 mins). Either location is great; we'd simply suggest considering whether you want to be closer to the ceremony or reception location. We'd recommend looking around via a google search or using a booking site to see what best suits your needs - whether it be an AirBnB , VRBO, or any other hotel (there are some great options for each). Just for location reference, we are staying at the Solaris, which is the same condo complex as our reception venue, Chasing Rabbits. They do have 3 night minimum though. Vail Resorts has also offered us 20% discounted room rates at their various hotels. You can call (855) 953-0197 - please refer to the group code: SVLWRW25 or the group name: Robbins/Willis Wedding. Or, you can reserve online: https://be.synxis.com/?adult=1&arrive=2025-09-17&chain=6521&child=0&config=SAVL&depart=2025-09-23&dest=VAIL&level=chain&locale=en-US&promo=SVLWRW25&rooms=1&theme=SUMSAVL

The Discover Vail website has some great information on getting to Vail, looking up lodging, and things to do! Click the link below or copy and paste: https://discovervail.com/ NOTE: Vail sits at ~8,000 feet in elevation and the ceremony site sits at ~11,000 feet. Most people typically need a day or two to acclimatize - please plan accordingly and be aware of altitude sickness. Good rule of thumb: 1 drink at sea level = 2 drinks at altitude
