Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love all your children, our wedding ceremony and reception are adults only please :)

Question

Should I rent a car if I'm flying in from somewhere other than Maryland?

Answer

You can if you'd like, especially if you intend to explore outside the city. However we know rental cars are expensive and our hotel does charge for parking. With that in mind we've arranged a shuttle to transport those out of town guests who are staying at our hotel to and from the ceremony and reception venue. If you don't use the shuttle, the venue is about a 20-30 minute drive or Uber ride from the hotel depending on traffic. We DO NOT recommend use of the public transit/bus system in Baltimore City. There are safer ways to get around. The Harbor East area where the hotel is located is very walkable and close to Fells Point, another fun neighborhood to explore!

Question

Is Baltimore a safe city?

Answer

Just like any other major city, Baltimore is safe as long as you're using your common sense! See above regarding our recommendation against using the area public transportation system. The suggested area hotels are in a good neighborhood close to some other walkable areas to explore. If you have any question about where you should or should not visit, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for a little guidance!

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

All of the hotels have paid parking. There will be free valet parking at the wedding venue if you will be driving. For those out of town guests staying at the hotels, there will be shuttle transportation to and from the venue.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire

Question

What is the Polish tradition of the "small dance", or "apron dance"?

Answer

The small dance is a Polish tradition where guests offer the newlyweds money to dance with the bride. The custom is to help establish the couple in their new life together, and to show how much they are loved and appreciated. To the tune of a lively Polka, guests form a circle and toss dollar bills into the bride's godmother's apron for a turn to dance with the bride. The dance can continue until everyone willing has had a turn. Anyone who wishes to participate is more than welcome! At the end, the groom enters the circle, tosses his whole wallet into the apron, and carries the bride off.
