we're getting married!

It was WSU Alumni night at the Mariners game, so both Kallan and Rob knew this was the perfect excuse to get to Club Safeco where win or lose, at least the drinks are $10+ each! They both came with a group of friends who all attended college together and the two groups happened to run into each other in the beer garden. They all decided to keep the day going after the game by heading to the always classy establishment, Cowgirls Inc. As the evening rolled on, Rob noticed a group of girls talking and recognized all but one of those girls. He then turned to his friend Greg and asked who is the bombshell blonde talking with all the rest of the Delta Gamma gals. "Hey buddy, that's Kallan", Greg replied. Rob then strolled over to the girls to say hi and introduced himself to Kallan. They instantly hit it off and began chatting for hours. They ended up having a ton in common between mutual friends, where they grew up, and both having been a part of the Greek system at WSU. However, there was one thing they didn't have in common. Rob had never ridden the bull at Cowgirls, so naturally Kallan insisted he do so and of course Rob agreed. After the bar, the group decided to head out to a restaurant down the street for dinner before heading back to a friends place to hang out on their rooftop. Kallan and Rob both knew there was an instant spark and that this could be the beginning of something special. As they continued to spend time together after that night, Rob officially asked Kallan to be his girlfriend. Five years later, they are now set to become husband and wife!

As far as Kallan knew, Rob was planning a weekend getaway to Chelan for some wine tasting and relaxing... But Rob had a much bigger plan in mind. When they got into town they made their first stop at Benson Vineyards - Kallan's favorite winery that has a spectacular view of Lake Chelan. After a round of wine tasting they decided to buy a couple bottles and head down to the patio to sip on some rosé. Rob began to get a little nervous as there were two very large bachelorette parties at the winery and he wasn't so sure about proposing in front of 40+ people! But luckily they cleared out and Rob found the perfect chance to ask a couple people sitting near them to take a picture of him and Kallan under the beautiful pavilion. Before Kallan could realize what was going on, Rob was down on one knee asking her to marry him! She instantly burst into tears of pure happiness and said a million times yes! They got a round of applause by the other guests at the winery and even an offer by a lady to be the officiant lol. What was even more special was one of the women taking pictures picked up on what was about to happen and recorded the entire proposal (which was super helpful because Kallan completely blacked out and couldn't remember what Rob said haha!). Rob and Kallan spent the rest of the weekend celebrating their engagement with lots of wine tasting, champagne popping, and relishing in the fact that they were now fiancés <3
