Hikes

A roundup of our favorite Sedona hikes, all with views that never get old.
Doe Mountain Trail

Doe Mountain Trail

Doe Mountain Trailhead, Sedona, AZ 86336

This is one of our favorite hikes in Sedona. It ends with incredible 360° views of the red rocks. The trail is about 1.5 miles round trip and mostly uphill, leading to a flat mesa where you can relax, wander, and take in the scenery.

Sedona Airport Loop Trail

Sedona Airport Loop Trail

Airport Saddle Trailhead, Sedona, AZ 86336

This trail loops around Airport Mesa offer some incredible lookout points. Fun fact: it was the first hike we did together in Sedona during our August 2020 trip. You’ll find a vortex along the way and plenty of great photo spots throughout.

Bell Rock Trail

Bell Rock Trail

Bell Rock Trailhead, Sedona, AZ 86351

This trail can be as easy or as challenging as you’d like. Wander along the red rock rim and take in the views, or climb to the summit for a challenge. No matter how far you go, it’s a breathtaking spot (and where we took our engagement photos!)

Little Horse Trail to Chicken Point and White Line

Little Horse Trail to Chicken Point and White Line

Little Horse Trailhead, Sedona, AZ 86336

This 4-mile out-and-back trail is a peaceful walk through Sedona’s desert forest, ending on top of beautiful red rock formations with wide-open views. It’s one of our favorites, especially Deeds’, who loved hopping up on the rocks to take in the scenery.

Cathedral Rock Trail

Cathedral Rock Trail

Cathedral Rock Trailhead, Sedona, AZ 86336

This one’s definitely a workout. It’s steep and mostly uphill with a bit of rock scrambling, but the views at the top are totally worth it. The trail ends among red rock formations that look like a natural cathedral. It’s absolutely stunning.
