When is the wedding?

Our wedding will take place on October 10, 2026. We can’t wait to celebrate with our favorite people on what we hope will be a crisp, beautiful fall day. Please arrive on time so you don’t miss our ceremony!

Where is it being held?

Answer

Everything will take place at American Brass in Long Island City. American Brass isn’t a traditional wedding hall; it’s an upscale restaurant on the LIC waterfront, so the celebration will feel more intimate and relaxed than a formal ballroom-style wedding. Everything - ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing - will take place within the restaurant space, creating a cozy, warm, yet lively atmosphere. The waterfront setting also offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, providing a beautiful backdrop to the celebration.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are currently planned to take place indoors at the restaurant, though the restaurant does have outdoor space that may be used, weather permitting - we recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket just in case! Just steps across the street is the waterfront with stunning Manhattan skyline views - perfect for photos or a quick stroll throughout the evening, if you'd like!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal; suits, button-downs, gowns, cocktail dresses - anything you love and feel good in is perfect! We just want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the day. Wear something that makes you feel like yourself. There’s no need to stress about being “too formal” or “too casual” - your presence is what matters most to us.

Are there any specific colors guests should wear, or avoid wearing?

We’re not having an official wedding party, so there aren’t any set colors or styles to worry about - please wear whatever makes you feel your best! We're not afraid of color ;)

What’s the parking/transportation situation?

Answer

There will not be transportation provided to or from the venue as we have guests traveling for the night from all areas in NY, NJ, and beyond. American Brass is easily accessible by ferry, subway, bus, LIRR, ride-share, or car. LIC has nearby garages and some street parking, but we recommend leaving extra time if you plan to drive. What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please list any dietary needs when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly. American Brass is great at accommodating allergies and dietary preferences when notified in advance. We want everyone to enjoy the meal comfortably.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones will be clearly listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, we can’t wait to celebrate with both of you!

Is the wedding child-free?

Answer

Yes, our celebration will be young adults and adults-only. While we know many of our friends and family have young children, we wanted to create an evening where everyone can relax, enjoy the night, and celebrate together without extra stress or logistics. This wasn’t an easy decision, and we hope you understand that it’s about keeping the night manageable, cozy, and special for all our guests. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have a room block reserved at the Ravel Hotel in LIC for our guests. We have also partnered with some other hotels to obtain discounted room rates. For full details, including booking instructions and other nearby options, please head to the "Travel" tab above.
