When is your new wedding date?

Answer

We will now be getting married on Friday, October 02, 2020. Our ceremony and reception locations have not changed. Our ceremony will begin at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral at 7:00pm. Our reception will follow at the Hilton Netherland Plaza. We very much hope to see you there!

Now that you have changed your wedding date, what do I do about my RSVP?

Answer

Whether or not you have already sent in your RSVP, we will, unfortunately, need to ask you for your RSVP again. Thank you in advance for your help with this. We will be mailing new Save-the-Dates shortly, but we will not be mailing new invitations. If you have already mailed in your RSVP card, please take a moment to Re-RSVP online, right here on this website. If you have NOT yet mailed in your original RSVP card, please also RSVP on this website to help avoid any confusion. You can access the RSVP portion of the website by selecting the RSVP tab near the top of the page. Detailed instructions of how to complete the online RSVP form are explained in the question below. How do I RSVP on this website?

Answer

If you look at the top of our website, you will see several page tabs. Please select the RSVP tab. 1.) You will be prompted to type in your first and last name. If you are RSVP-ing for multiple guests, entering one name will allow you to access all of the guests in your party. 2.) Once your name is entered, you will be prompted to give your reply regarding your attendance at our ceremony. Please select "Will Attend" or "Will Not Attend" for each member of your party. 3.) Once you have finished the ceremony portion of the RSVP, you will see a button near the bottom of the page that says "Next Event." Please click on it. 4.) For the reception portion of the RSVP, please select "Will Attend" or "Will Not Attend" for each member of your party. Please also select the menu choice for each member of your party. 5.) After completing your RSVP, please click the "Submit Your RSVP" button found near the bottom of the page. Your RSVP will then be shared with us. Thanks again for your help!

What about the hotel room that I already booked for your May 02 wedding date?

Answer

The Hilton Netherland Plaza will be cancelling all current reservations for May 01 and May 02. You will NOT need to cancel your current reservation. You will not receive any cancellation fees. If you would like to book rooms for our new wedding date of October 2nd, we have a new room block available. Whether or not you had reserved a room for the May 2nd wedding date, if you would like a hotel room in our block for our new wedding date, you will need to please re-book. You may do so by selecting the Travel tab located at the top of the website. There, you will find instructions for how to book your rooms and a direct link to the hotel block booking page. If you are planning on staying with us, please book your rooms at the Hilton Netherland Plaza within our room block. This will ensure the best room rates for you. Additionally, it lets us know which rooms need Welcome Bags. :) Again, thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!

Will there be a shuttle from the Hilton to the Cathedral?

Answer

Yes! There will be a shuttle (actually a limo party bus) making trips back and forth between the Hilton Netherland Plaza and St. Peter In Chains Cathedral. The shuttle will hold up to 20 passengers at a time. The Shuttle/Party Limo from MotorToys will arrive at the Hilton at 6:15pm to start collecting guests to ride to the Cathedral. The shuttle will be parked on 5th Street, so from the lobby, head towards the gold revolving doors at the the front of the hotel. There will be some parking at the Cathedral as well, if you would prefer to drive on your own.

Where can I park at the Cathedral?

Answer

The parking lots that are managed by Park Place Parking, and sit right next to the cathedral at 7th & Plum Streets and 7th & Central Streets, are free for guests for weekend events such as weddings. NOTE: The spots in the back lot marked STAFF are always for Cathedral employees only with a valid STAFF parking pass. All others will be ticketed or towed. The parking meters on the streets surrounding the cathedral are in effect every day of the week from 9am-9pm. They are 2 hour meters and are $3 per hour. They accept coins and credit cards.

Can I walk from the Hilton to the Cathedral?

Answer

Yes-you could. The Hilton Netherland Plaza and St. Peter In Chains are only a few blocks apart. It would be about a 10 minute walk or so one way. Please see the map at the top of this page for reference.

Where can I park at the Hilton Netherland Plaza?

Answer

Overnight Self parking is available at the Mabley Place Garage for $17 without in/out privileges. Parking for the event time frame (not overnight) is available at Mabley Place for $6.00. **However, please note parking prices are subject to change. Currently, the hotel's valet services are suspended. If these services should begin again, you can expect the following arrangements: Overnight Valet parking is available for $28 which includes in/out privileges or $18 (for up to 12 hours) without in/out privileges.

What safety precautions can we expect at your ceremony?

Answer

Guests will need to please wear masks at the Cathedral. The Cathedral will have rows blocked off with ribbons to guide social distancing, so please sit in the available rows (every 2nd or 3rd row is open). Families can sit close together, but we do ask that guests social distance from one another if not from the same family. Fortunately, the Cathedral is quite large, so there will be plenty of room for all.

What safety precautions can we expect at your reception?

Answer

--Masks will be worn by all staff at the Hilton. --Guests will be asked to wear masks when they are up and about in the ballroom. Masks do not need to be worn when seated at your table. If you forget your mask, we will have extra. --There will not be a cocktail hour in the traditional sense. Rather, upon arrival at the Hilton following our ceremony, guests will be asked to find their seats and enjoy a plated appetizer instead of passed hors d'oeuvres. --Hand sanitizer will be readily available. --There will be two bars open and there will be clear 6ft markers in the lines for the bars to indicate safe spacing. --Tables will be spaced at least 6 ft. apart from one another. --For those guests who want to dance, there will be 6ft markers on the dance floor as well. --Right now, with the new policy in effect from the liquor board, last call for drinks will be 10pm, and all drinks must be finished by 11pm. Our reception will officially end at Midnight.

If you have a dietary restriction, please let us know. You can let us know by completing an online RSVP on this website. See above. Within the online RSVP form, there is a section to explain any dietary restrictions or needs you may have. Also, please note, the beef duet and salmon & chicken duet menu options are gluten free.

What about brunch on Saturday, October 3rd?

Answer

For our overnight guests staying at the Hilton, there will be a brunch available in the Continental Room. The Continental Room is available from 8am-11am, with food service time from 8:15am-10:45am. Brunch will be served by a gloved and masked Hilton attendant. We hope to see you there!
