We first met in a wine bar. Sort of. Amy was in a wine bar, anyway. Rob was at home. But through the magic of the internet, Amy and Rob met online. She liked the picture of Rob dressed as Garth from Wayne's World, and he liked how Amy was smiling at the camera. We quickly discovered that we were both fans of wry humor and it was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good. Before long Rob and Amy decided to meet in person. Amy was late to the first date at Nine Giant. Rob was early. We laughed and talked over beers, and while it was very new, we both knew that we wanted to see each other again. And so, we did. Over the past two years and counting we have had a lot of fun watching movies, cooking, going to the zoo, vacations with our families, hanging out at breweries and festivals-- all the usual things that couples do. But this time, it was the two of us that were the couple, and we are so looking forward to more fun together. Then, on March 22, 2019, after a nostalgic date at Nine Giant, Rob proposed. Amy very happily said yes. And now here we are planning a wedding. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Dear Friends and Family, Due to the strange and confusing times we are all experiencing, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding until Friday, October 02, 2020. The CDC is recommending that all gatherings of 50 people or more be cancelled for at least eight weeks or so, and unfortunately, our original wedding date fell within those restrictions. We want to celebrate with you all, and we didn't want any of you to have to worry about your health and safety. Our wedding is going to be a blast, and not a day full of uncertainty and unease. We want to dance, drink, and be merry (married!) when we can do so with peace of mind for all. We are of course disappointed to see our wedding postponed, but are so looking forward to seeing you all on October 02, 2020--we hope you can join us then! We will be mailing new Save-the-Dates and updating our FAQ portion of this website with new information concerning wedding day details. Please visit the FAQ page on this website for the most current information and instructions for what to do with RSVPs (sent or not sent), an updated hotel room block, and more. Thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, we wish you all good health and happy days ahead. Love, Amy & Rob
