Question

How/when do I RSVP?

Answer

Invites will be sent out in late June/early July. You can RSVP back by mail (included in the invite) or via the RSVP tab on this site. We will open up online RSVPs once we mail out invites. It would be amazing if you could let us know your RSVP status by August 10th so we can finalize numbers. :)

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony (about 4:30 pm) so you can meet up with any family or friends and find a seat well before it begins.

What should I wear?

Answer

Please join us in dressing up—we are requesting cocktail attire! Cocktail dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, blazers, suits, slacks, dress shirts, etc.

Are my kids welcome?

Answer

If your kids are listed on your invite, then yes. We understand childcare can be hard to find, especially if you are coming from out of town. That said, we’d also love for parents to enjoy a fun night out without having to keep an eye on their kids too! Please do note especially the reception will be more geared toward adults in terms of the open bar and music. We of course trust your best judgment in regards to your children. :)

Can I bring a date?

If your online invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony and reception will both be at Koru Berry Farm, which is about 20 minutes west of Iowa City.

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Yes, the Heartland Inn has a shuttle. Check out our Travel page for all the info you need.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

It is a short walk on grass through the Aronia berry bushes to the ceremony site. There will be a couple of golf carts running back and forth from the parking lot for those who might need a lift.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

YES! We will have a couple of kegs, homemade hard cider, and a few signature cocktail options.

Is there parking? And can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

Yes, there is a large parking lot! You are also allowed to leave your car overnight and take the shuttle back if necessary—no drinking and driving! Our venue just asks you to retrieve it by noon the next day.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be so missed! If you can not make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Yes! We will have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
