When should I RSVP by?

Kindly RSVP by Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Are kids and/or significant others welcome?

Answer

While our philosophy is usually “the more the merrier” we are also mindful of budget and space limitations by our venue. We politely request the attendance of guests whose name is on the invitation only.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits are all welcome. We want you to feel like your best, most confident and comfortable self at our special event.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the “travel” section of our website for information on our hotel block with the Hawthorne.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving about 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time in order to find parking and your seat. The ceremony will begin at 4 PM so plan to arrive by 3:30. Late arrivals will be held until after the processional and seated in the back.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The Hawthorne has two parking lots located on Essex Street, behind the hotel. We recommend entering "98 Essex Street, Salem MA" if using GPS. Parking is free and available on a first come, first served basis, with a number of accessible spaces for those with a visible disability placard.
