We love Detroit! There is so much to see and do, a few of our favorite spots downtown. Check out while your in town!

Capitol Park Historic District

Detroit, MI 48226

This is where Joesph proposed to Theresa, on February 1st, 2020. It was his birthday and she never saw it coming on the same day. It was the perfect night and a perfect surprise! Here you’ll find Dessert Oasis amazing coffee. Delicious Italian at La Lanterna. Wonderful Mediterranean food at Leila. Leila’s is where Joseph and Theresa ate the night Joseph proposed and where they celebrated their 6th months being married. You can also swing by Ten Nail Bar if you need to get a mani or pedi while in town.

Campus Martius Park

Fun Fact: Woodward Ave was the first paved road in America in 1909. Campus Martius is also where at Christmas time Detroit has a giant tree and an ice rink designed after the one at Rockefeller Center but is actually larger.

The Monarch Club

The Brakeman

A fun place for beer, cocktails and games while in town and make sure you stop into penny reds in the back for some yummy fried chicken. Joe and Theresa love taking friends here they celebrated here after Joseph proposed and now their apartment is right next door.

Detroit Riverwalk

Detroit Riverwalk, Detroit, MI

Joseph and Theresa love taking walk along the River! Fun fact: During prohibition 70% of alcohol that came into the united states came from Canada through the tunnel and pushed over the frozen Detroit river.

Highlands

Highlands is a beautiful place to get a drink and see a view of the entire city. Fun Fact: Before it was highlands this restaurant was coach insignia where Theresa worked as a hostess.

Eastern Market

Detroit, MI

If you have time Saturday morning (early) check out eastern market, beautiful artwork and local vendors, fresh food, and coffee. Make sure to walk around and check out all the murals!

Corktown

Detroit, MI

Corktown is where the beautiful Detroit train station is at, once people came from all over the world through the train station for life in the motor city. Fun Fact: Theresa used to dream of turning the train station into a hotel. Corktown was a melting pot of immigrants creating a culture with love and amazing food and community.

Greektown

Detroit, MI

Greektown has plenty of restaurants, clubs and a casino. For any late nights while you are in town. Fun Fact: The Largest Buffalo Wild Wings in the World is in Greektown.

Wayne State University

Located in Midtown Detroit. If you are in town and have a lot of free time swing by Wayne State University where Theresa went to school for Interior Design and where Joseph and Theresa’s relationship grew!
