Our story began on Cinco de Mayo 2022, a holiday Sammy has always loved for its margaritas and easy joy. Rob chose a spot in Austin that she’d somehow never been to, and from the moment they sat down, something felt different. In May 2023, Rob bought a house, and a few months later Sammy moved in—turning a house into their home. That December, their family grew when they brought home Benny, their Bernese Mountain dog, who quickly became the heart of their world. Finally, in May 2025, shortly after their three year anniversary, Rob asked Sammy to marry him in Venice, Italy. Surrounded by her family in the "city of love," Sammy said "Yes!" It was a moment that felt like their whole story—unexpected, meaningful, and absolutely perfect.
