2020 has been a challenging year. And while yes, love is patient. We are not. We have been presented every option imaginable and at the end of the day, we realized the only thing that matters is that we get married! We know there are health concerns and ensuring everyone is able to celebrate our special day safely is our top priority. For that reason, we have decided to cancel our in-person wedding and we are going virtual! A virtual stream of our wedding will be available for all guests to enjoy near and far. Be on the look out for a special surprise during Wedding Week. We are bringing our wedding to your living room! We are so grateful to have the most incredible support system. We love you all.
Kelsey and Danny met in a Monday morning all-staff meeting at Hengehold Capital Management. They started out as friends, but soon (and without hesitation) Kelsey started promising Danny she'd marry him someday. On July 15th, Kelsey and Danny went on their "first date." Danny had no idea the friends kayaking trip was really a 1:1 adventure down the Little Miami.
Kelsey was celebrating a killer week at work. After being gone a few nights in a row, she wanted to make it up to Danny by scheduling a night out. She chose Boca, a high-end restaurant downtown. Suspicion was at an all-time high because she knew Danny would take advantage of a night like this one to sneak in a proposal. Danny was cool as a cucumber. Through dinner and then drinks at the Blind Lemon, Kelsey started to doubt that tonight was "the" night. She doubted it so much so that before it happened, Kelsey texted her friend Jen and said, "Well, no ring tonight!" Shortly following, Danny pulled down a dead-end street in Mount Adams. A spot they'd visited before. They sat on a park bench overlooking the city and talked about how this night would be impossible to top for years to come. Just then an unexpected visitor joined them, a dog named Coco and her owner. Unbeknownst to Kelsey, Danny was rattled. They returned to their conversation and soon after Danny found himself on one knee. To which Kelsey repeatedly yelled, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!" Completely forgetting to even look at the ring, she immediately said "YES!"
