FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what is listed below, please feel free to reach out to Riley at 202-438-3844.
Question

What are the visa requirements for Italy?

Answer

U.S. citizens traveling to Italy for tourism or business do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period, but must hold a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond their departure date. NOTE: Starting in 2026, U.S. citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) authorization online, costing approximately €7, before traveling to Italy.

Question

Am I invited to stay at the Villa?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone stay with us, space at the villa is limited. Accommodations will first be offered to immediate family and our bridal party. As RSVPs come in, we’ll happily share any additional availability. If staying at the villa, there is a minimum two-night stay (but the option to stay all 7 nights with us). The Villa is rented exclusively for our use Saturday, May 15th through Saturday, May 22nd. For those guests not staying with us at the villa, there are plenty of great options to stay in the region, a few of which we have included on the Travel page of this website.

Question

What if I am not staying in the villa? Can I still access it before the wedding?

Answer

Although we cannot accommodate everyone to sleep in the villa, all guests are welcome (and encouraged!!!) to use it and its amenities leading up to the wedding.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're thrilled that you're considering joining us in Italy—it means the world to us! Since we're celebrating in a special location with limited space, we've had to be mindful of our guest list. Please take a look at your invitation for specific details regarding your plus one status.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Mid-May weather in Umbria typically features pleasant daily warm temperatures (68-72°F), cooler nights (50–54 °F), and a reasonable chance of some rain or passing showers. So please plan to dress accordingly!

Question

Is the ceremony in a separate location from the reception?

Answer

The best part of Villa Baroncino is everything is in one place, making it a smooth transition. Ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, AND after party will all take place in the villa!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The chefs are able to accommodate for all sorts of allergies and dietary restrictions. When placing the RSVP just type in your restrictions and it will be taken care of by the time of the wedding.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will be hosting a welcome party the night before as well as a farewell hog roast the day after. When filling out the RSVP please let us know if you would like to come to one or both events.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! More details to come soon : )

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to allow all of our guests to relax and fully enjoy the celebration, we have chosen to make our wedding ceremony and reception adults-only. Our nieces and nephews will be joining us at the villa during the weekend, but the wedding itself will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Will transportation be provided on the night of the wedding for guests staying offsite?

Answer

Yes! More info to come.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Not required, but highly recommended. The villa is remote, and having a car makes exploring the area much easier.

Question

Do I need to attend every event?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate every event with you, we understand that many of our guests are traveling from afar and may wish to explore while in Umbria. Please join us for as many (or as few) events as you’d like — simply let us know which ones you’ll be attending when you RSVP.
