The most convenient airport for traveling to our wedding is Portland International Jetport (PWM) in Portland, Maine. It’s a comfortable and scenic drive of about 1 hour and 45 minutes to South Thomaston. PWM is small, easy to navigate, and offers regular flights from major U.S. cities. Most guests will want to rent a car upon arrival. The airport has several major rental car companies on-site, including Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, National, and Alamo. Once you’re on the road, the drive up Route 1 along the coast is beautiful and straightforward — a great introduction to Midcoast Maine.
