Things To Do in Saugatuck

The Wedding Website of Riley Pierce and Parker Smith

Saugatuck Dunes State Park

6575 138th Avenue, Holland, MI 49423

Located just next door, the park borders the property line of the Felt Estate. Scenic hiking trails wind through the dunes to quiet stretches of Lake Michigan. This was one of our first dates, where Parker made a slider bake we still make to this day.

Oval Beach

690 Perryman Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453

One of the most beautiful beaches in the Midwest, with wide shoreline and stunning sunsets. It also holds special meaning to our family — Parker’s sister, Ally, was married here.

Tunnel Park

66 N Lakeshore Avenue, Holland, MI 49424

A beautiful beach with sweeping views from the bluff. Riley grew up nearby and spent many days here with her grandma and grandpa, and her mom even worked here as a teenager. For the full “Miller Holland experience,” we recommend stopping by Village Inn Pizza just off Ottawa Beach Road.

The BARge

528 Water Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453

A casual, waterfront spot with laid-back energy, drinks, and classic bar fare — one of Parker’s favorite picks for a relaxed afternoon or a drink by the water.

The Southerner

880 Holland Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453

Recommended to us early on, this unassuming façade opens to a beautiful waterfront setting. Known for its fried chicken and southern comforts, it’s a spot that consistently wows. We found ourselves coming here often in 2020, usually followed by long drives through Saugatuck dreaming about future wedding locations.

Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant

216 Van Raalte Avenue, Holland, MI 49423

A longtime Holland favorite with beautiful waterfront views. What started as a family Thanksgiving tradition has become a place we’ve continued to return to together. A lovely option for a classic lakeside dinner.
