What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Jackets are required, with ties optional. Any dress length and fabrics types are welcome; we kindly ask ladies to avoid solid white and cream dresses.

Question

Ive never been to a Jewish wedding.....

Answer

Neither has the groom! Truly, there’s nothing you need to do, and you won’t feel out of place. We’ll be celebrating alongside Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, and atheists—just come ready to celebrate and be prepared to dance the hora.

Question

Are rideshares available?

Answer

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are very limited in the area. We recommend planning transportation in advance or utilizing the provided return bus, detailed on the Transportation and Hotels tab.

Question

Can I drive and park at the venue?

Answer

Yes — guests are welcome to drive and park at the Felt Estate. Cars may be left overnight, but must be picked up by 10:00 AM the following morning.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes — all events will take place outdoors on the grounds of the Felt Estate. The reception will be held under a tent, which may be enclosed with sides as needed. Large standing fans will be provided for guest comfort.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

In the event of rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held inside the mansion. The reception will take place in the West Lawn Tent, which may be enclosed with sides as needed.

Question

Where should I stay/hotels

Answer

We recommend staying near the bus drop-off locations in Saugatuck or Holland for ease of transportation at the end of the evening. A one-way bus will depart the Felt Estate at 11:00 PM with drop-offs at the Maplewood Hotel in Saugatuck and the Tulyp Hotel in Holland. In Saugatuck, Wickwood Inn and The Inn of Saugatuck are less than a one-minute walk from the Maplewood. In Holland, the Courtyard by Marriott and Haworth Hotel are within a short walk of the Tulyp. We are not holding room blocks and encourage guests to book early. Details on the Transportation and Hotels tab.

Question

Can we explore the estate?

Answer

Yes — guests are welcome to explore the mansion and grounds during cocktail hour.

Question

Can I wear heels?

Answer

Yes. The aisle and pathways are paved throughout the estate. Ceremony seating will be on grass, but all walkways, including the tent, are paved. There is a short (2 minute) walk up a paved hill to the estate; however, guests will have the option for golf cart transfer.
