As of late 2023, part of Apiary Road (but NOT the part we'll be using) is closed due to a culvert failure. As a result, the *whole* road is thought to be impassible by map apps. Because of this, they will try to route you down long, winding, poorly maintained dirt backroads riddled with massive potholes and occasional terrain obstacles. We don't recommend this for most guests (unless you like 4-wheeling.. in which case, go for it!) Instead, we strongly recommend you follow the route outlined below. This is the same route that was included as a separate info-sheet with your mailed invitation. We have included it again below for your convenience. We've driven it many times, and even reached out to confirm its legitimacy/legality with the county. As guests of Camp Wilkerson, you can (and should) drive this section of Apiary Road. When you start seeing signs that say "road closure ahead": don't worry. The wedding venue will be on your right a few hundred feet before said road closure.
FROM PORTLAND: - Get on Highway 30 Westbound toward St. Helens, Oregon. Follow this to Scappoose (about 19 miles) - In Scappoose, follow signs for Pittsburg/Vernonia (you're looking for the Scappoose Vernonia Hwy, on the North side of town - turn left onto this, then go about 20 miles) - You will eventually get to a "T" intersection where you *have* to turn. Turn right onto Nehalem Hwy N / OR-47. Take this 3.8 miles - Turn right onto Apiary Rd, following signs to Camp Wilkerson. Take this 5.7 miles - Just before the road closure, you will see a sign for Camp Wilkerson on your right, along with an RV and probably a few vehicles. Turn in and head down the gravel road. YOU DO NOT NEED TO STOP AND PAY THAT PARKING/DAY USE FEE. Head on down that little gravel road until you see signs guiding you toward parking for the Binx Wedding!
Overnight guests will be assigned parking near your campsite. Day-Of guests will be directed via signs to a few potential parking areas at the bottom of Camp Wilkerson Rd. There is ample parking for you to choose from just a short walk from the main event space.
After the sun goes down, the event will transition to a campout. There will be a large fire with a smores station, video games and movies on a projector, and nighttime forest shenanigans.
