FAQs

"I HAVE QUESTIONS!", we hear you asking. That's great! Questions make the world go round. Hopefully we have answered yours below. Note that this section will evolve as we receive additional questions which ought to be addressed for all guests.
Question

What is the parking situation at the venue?

Answer

Tent Campers: you will have one or two vehicle spots at your designated campsite. Our Campsite Coordinator will be placing folks in sites with enough vehicle spots to accommodate each specific party, so even if you have more than one car, you should be good. RV Campers: You have been assigned a specific RV spot. Reach out to us if you have not already been told where you'll be parking. For all non-overnight guests, there is a clearly marked area where you may park freely. Just follow the signs.

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

As a general rule, unfortunately, no. We're sure the person you wish to bring is lovely, but we're trying to keep the numbers down somewhat for logistical reasons, so we're being pretty deliberate about invitations. We hope you understand.

Question

Is there a dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

Not really, but we'd be grateful if folks kept things... "Outdoor classy", especially for the ceremony and reception. For folks who might want to wear heels: keep in mind this is an outdoor event. A significant portion of time will be spent on a large grass lawn, and many of the connecting pathways throughout the site are packed dirt. It is strongly recommended that you at least bring something comfy and low-to-the-ground to change into.

Question

I'm gonna have to use the bathroom... is there going to be a good place to do that?

Answer

Totally! The venue we're using has an indoor restroom for you to go do your human business in. It even has heated showers for the campers who want to clean up before you head out. Don't forget to bring a towel!

Question

Okay, so I've got these old school MapQuest style directions.. but how long do they actually take?

Answer

Something like an hour and fifteen minutes. From our place around Powell and 22nd, we've clocked it anywhere from 1 hour on a good day with no traffic when we're feeling zippy, to 1hr 30min when traffic crossing the bridge was bad and we got stuck behind a trailer hauling horses. Assuming about an hour and fifteen minutes is a pretty safe bet, but giving yourself extra time can't hurt. If you show up a little early, feel free to come on down to the site. No need to park on Apiary and wait until you're "allowed" to enter the park. Just come on down. You're allowed to be here :P

Question

What's the cell service like out there?

Answer

Largely non-existent, so please do keep that in mind. For that reason however, we will have Wi-Fi setup in a specific area of the event. We ask that guests only connect as needed to briefly attend to important communications or check in with folks as needed. This is for two reasons: 1. The bandwidth on our middle-of-the-forest wifi will not be sufficient for 100 devices all watching TikToks simultaneously 2. We'd like our guests to remain present in the moment with us and help us celebrate our wedding!

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! We will be serving enchiladas with beans and rice, elote (Mexican street corn with cheese), vegan mac and cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, fruit, and more for the reception. Overnight guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own late night food and snacks, as well as any breakfast foods you wish to consume in the morning.

Question

Will there be alcohol at this event?

Answer

For the reception, we will be providing some premixed cocktails, wine, and a few kegs of the good stuff. Overnight guests are encouraged to BYOB for the afterparty.

Question

I'm planning on camping. What should I know? What should I bring?

Answer

All guests are invited to stick around as long as they'd like, but if you're staying overnight please make sure you've let us know via your RSVP. Overnight attendees will need to bring their own tent and bedding, breakfast foods, and whatever else they would bring for a night of camping in the Oregon forest for one night. We've gotcha covered until 9 or 10 pm. After that, it's BYO-everything. Note also that camping at the event is primarily assigned to a group camping loop located a short walk away from the main ceremony and reception area. There will be signs to guide you, and the path will be lit at night.

Question

I want to stay the night, but I can't do tent camping. Can I bring an RV?

Answer

Yes! There are four RV spots onsite. Let us know if you need arrangements to bring one and we will save an RV spot for you. Note that spaces are limited. Disabled and mobility-impaired guests receive priority placement.
