We met at a well known coffee place in California and spent almost four hours talking and getting to know each other. We spent the days and weeks to follow with each other. This included camping trips, dates, hikes, sunsets, and much more that made us realize we could do this for the rest of our lives. We fell in love with each others families and grew a bond together that continues to flourish each and every day.

We were traveling to New York to be with Hannah’s side of the family. Riley had asked for her father’s blessing and had coordinated everything with Hannah’s family. On the day he proposed they were planning to have a nice evening at her sister’s house. When they arrived, it had instantly started pouring rain but he opened her door and held an umbrella for her as they walked out into the rain near her sister’s pond close to the woods. Although it was pouring rain, Riley got down on his knee and asked for Hannah’s hand in marriage. Through tears of joy she said yes without any hesitation. They spent their evening sharing food and drinks with loved ones to celebrate the engagement. :)
