Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in and around Indy with you!
Guggman Haus Brewing Co.

Guggman Haus Brewing Co.

1701 Gent Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 602-6131

Arguably the best beer in the city, Guggman Haus is Patrick's favorite brewery and operates out of a small house on the Near NW Side. We highly recommend it for their outdoor patio, and by May their new facility next door should be open for business!

Metazoa Brewing Company

Metazoa Brewing Company

140 South College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 522-0251

I don't know if you've noticed a trend, but we really love breweries. Especially Metazoa, which is animal friendly and has a dog park outside where Sadie and Whiskey love to burn off some energy. And also, the beer is great!

Sun King Brewery Carmel

Sun King Brewery Carmel

351 Monon Boulevard, Carmel, IN 46032
, (317) 843-6250

Sun King has several locations, but the one in Carmel has a great outdoor space in front, as well as plenty of food counters to choose from to go with your favorite drink. My favorite for the warmer months is the Pachangarita.

Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields

Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields

4000 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 923-1331

We went here on our first date. It's easy to kill an afternoon here, or at 100 Acres next door, especially in nice weather. Make sure to stop by the beer garden before walking the grounds, or head inside the museum to see some amazing art!

Greek's Pizzeria

Greek's Pizzeria

4901 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46205
, (317) 600-3969

Because you always need to know who has the best pizza in town no matter where you are. Greek's is our personal favorite, in case you find yourself craving a late night snack after the reception. (Greek's has multiple locations, but the College Ave one has an awesome upstairs tap room).

Foundation Coffee Company

Foundation Coffee Company

4565 Marcy Lane, Indianapolis, IN 46205
, (317) 932-3737

Another need to know. Indy has SO many good coffee options, but we're partial to Foundation Coffee Company (Honorable Mentions include, but are not limited to, Quills, Provider, Bovaconti and Amberson).

Revolucion

Revolucion

1132 Prospect Street, Indianapolis, IN 46203
, (317) 423-9490

If you find yourself with a little extra time on your hands, Revolucion (widely and lovingly known as La Rev) in Fountain Square is our favorite Mexican food in Indy. The tiki bar and back patio is one of the best spots to hang out while enjoying some tacos and margaritas. Riley's recommendation: Shrimp tacos and a spicy marg with a spicy rim!

Eagle Creek Park

Eagle Creek Park

7840 West 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46254
, (317) 327-7110

Indy has plenty of green space to explore, but Eagle Creek is the largest, and also where we had our engagement pictures taken! It has plenty of activities, including a zip line park and kayak/canoe rentals, but we just like taking our dogs there for a nice long walk.

Fort Harrison State Park

Fort Harrison State Park

6000 North Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216
, (317) 591-0904

Another fun park to explore, Fort Ben (as it's affectionately known) is Patrick's first choice for trail running in Indy! Our friends also like to go floating through it on Fall Creek to cool off in the summertime.

Crown Hill Cemetery

Crown Hill Cemetery

700 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 925-3800

I know it's a cemetery, but hear me out! The space is beautiful, and a local favorite for a nice jog or a leisurely bike ride. Our former president Benjamin Harrison is buried here, and James Whitcomb Riley's monument at the top of the hill boasts an amazing view of downtown.
