Arguably the best beer in the city, Guggman Haus is Patrick's favorite brewery and operates out of a small house on the Near NW Side. We highly recommend it for their outdoor patio, and by May their new facility next door should be open for business!
I don't know if you've noticed a trend, but we really love breweries. Especially Metazoa, which is animal friendly and has a dog park outside where Sadie and Whiskey love to burn off some energy. And also, the beer is great!
Sun King has several locations, but the one in Carmel has a great outdoor space in front, as well as plenty of food counters to choose from to go with your favorite drink. My favorite for the warmer months is the Pachangarita.
We went here on our first date. It's easy to kill an afternoon here, or at 100 Acres next door, especially in nice weather. Make sure to stop by the beer garden before walking the grounds, or head inside the museum to see some amazing art!
Because you always need to know who has the best pizza in town no matter where you are. Greek's is our personal favorite, in case you find yourself craving a late night snack after the reception. (Greek's has multiple locations, but the College Ave one has an awesome upstairs tap room).
If you find yourself with a little extra time on your hands, Revolucion (widely and lovingly known as La Rev) in Fountain Square is our favorite Mexican food in Indy. The tiki bar and back patio is one of the best spots to hang out while enjoying some tacos and margaritas. Riley's recommendation: Shrimp tacos and a spicy marg with a spicy rim!
Indy has plenty of green space to explore, but Eagle Creek is the largest, and also where we had our engagement pictures taken! It has plenty of activities, including a zip line park and kayak/canoe rentals, but we just like taking our dogs there for a nice long walk.
I know it's a cemetery, but hear me out! The space is beautiful, and a local favorite for a nice jog or a leisurely bike ride. Our former president Benjamin Harrison is buried here, and James Whitcomb Riley's monument at the top of the hill boasts an amazing view of downtown.
