HOUSING NEEDS

Ferragosto Celebration!

Casual Dress

Enjoy the Sicilian holiday Ferragosto with us (think Labor Day Weekend). Originally the Assumption of Mary, it is now a public holiday! Food and light drinks provided. And hopefully fireworks!

Etna Mountain Hike

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Comfortable and light shoes and clothing; hats recommended

We're going in the morning to avoid the heat, but bring a lot of water, sunscreen, and hydration packs.

Ceremony

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Casual Cocktail Attire

Meet at Cantine Nicosia for a quick refreshment and then transfer to the wedding ceremony, 3 kilometers away in the Nicosia vineyards. The ceremony and dinner will be outside; it will hopefully be cooler at this higher elevation, but be prepared for warm summer weather.

Second Official Ceremony

Casual-ish

To finalize our marriage, we're planning on having a quick official marriage certificate signing at the Trecastagni Comune (City Hall). This is TBD, depending on the availability of the mayor and City Hall. No matter what, we'll head to the beach in the afternoon!
