Downtown Beaufort
The Coolest Small Town in America. The waterfront, with its shops and restaurants, is right down the road from the hotel. You can drive, walk, ride a bike, or even rent a golf cart from the hotel to get there. We love Cru Coffee in the morning, Beaufort Grocery for lunch, and Moonrakers for dinner. Atlantic Beach
Atlantic Beach is a laid-back beach town with wide sandy shores and a relaxed coastal vibe. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the hotel and perfect for relaxing, walking on the beach, or catching the sunrise.
Fort Macon State Park
Fort Macon State Park is a historic coastal fort with great views, a walkable stone fortress, and a beautiful beach. It’s an easy spot to explore, relax by the water, or take in a little local history while you’re in the area.
Cape Lookout
To visit the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, take a passenger ferry from Harkers Island or Beaufort, NC, as the lighthouse is on an island accessible only by boat. Once on the island, you can walk to the lighthouse, which is located at the southern end of South Core Banks. Climbing the lighthouse may require a separate fee. How to get there: Ferry: The most common way to reach the lighthouse is by taking a passenger ferry from Harkers Island or Beaufort, NC. Ferry services: Island Express Ferry is the authorized concessioner, but other authorized services may be available, so check the National Park Service website for the most current operators.
