How we Met
Amanda and Chris technically met in 2012 but Chris doesn't remember so we will fast forward to 2018...
The future bride and groom met backpacking with good friends, Warren and Natalie, in Vail, CO. The destination was a lake so Chris, having lived in Colorado at that time for 8 years, dedicated space in his pack for a bathing suit instead of warmer layers. After a long, cold night sitting among the snow fields in June at 12K feet, Amanda knew he was her person.
The Proposal
Same time and place as last year? Cya there!
Chris proposed to Amanda in Estes Park on September 10th 2021. He planned a special weekend under the guise of a birthday celebration, complete with trail runs, a private yoga session, Scots Fest (IYKYK or see "Things to Do") and many surprise cameos from great friends from around the country. It was an incredibly special weekend so we figured we run the tape back for the big day!
