FAQs

Question

Is your wedding on a weekday?

Answer

Yes! Since we have rented to houses for the week and are envisioning a fun week of celebrating with friends, we are going to plan on small/short ceremony and private dinner at the house on Wednesday, August 12th.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Elevated Garden Party: guys, we're talking suits (feel free to get creative and add some color and flair), ladies, tea or floor length dresses will be the way to go! Feel free to check out this Pinterest board for some inspo: https://pin.it/7uowroqYL

Question

Can I invite a plus one?

Answer

We are having a very intimate gathering with immediate family and our closest friends and are unable to accommodate additional guests. Everyone invited will be listed on the invitation, we hope you understand.

Question

Do I need to book a place to stay?

Answer

Unless you are coming early or staying late, your accommodations will be covered from August 7th through August 14th! You just have to arrange your travel to and from Mount Desert Island. A number of our guests are from the New England area, if you are interested in carpooling, we'd be happy to make connections to coordinate :)

Question

Do I have to stay the entire time?

Answer

No! You do not, we will have the house for a full week, and you are welcome to come and go as you please, but we would love to be surrounded by our loved ones and encourage you to unwind and enjoy the beautiful Maine summer with us.

Question

Do I have to stay at the house that you rented?

Answer

No, you do not have to, you are welcome to find a hotel or airbnb if that works better for you!

Question

Does the house have wifi?

Answer

Yes, however, it is not the strongest connection, and we would encourage everyone to enjoy the property, go for a swim, hike, or bike and be connected in person :)

Question

Can I work remotely during the week?

Answer

You definitely can. We completely understand that asking a week of people is a big ask. If you have the ability to work remotely, there is limited wifi at the house, a co-working space in nearby Bar Harbor, and plenty of public libraries nearby with wifi.
