Our story begins on a cool October night. Michael and Julia met while attending MSUM during a bowling social between Julia's sorority and Michael's fraternity. They were placed in the same bowling group and both bonded over a mutual friend falling (she was not hurt) while throwing her ball down the lane. Then Julia attended a gathering at Michael's house for that same mutual friends birthday. They started talking and a few days later Michael asked Julia to help him with a project for class where he had to make a poster about himself to present (a great way to get to know each other). They didn't know it yet, but that moment was just the beginning of what blossomed to become a beautiful new chapter in their lives together.
It was a comfortably cool day for March (the 23rd to be exact), around 37 degrees. Julia had spent the morning reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to Michael while he played a video game. After finishing the book, they got ready and set out on a date day where they went to Kobe's for lunch and ran a few errands. They returned home a few hours later and relaxed for a little bit, trying to cuddle with their cat, Stormie. Later in the evening they cooked one of their meal kits together and enjoyed Salsa Verde Enchiladas (seriously delicious). When they had finished eating, Michael brought the dishes upstairs and came back downstairs saying he had a present for Julia. He pulled out a golden snitch and went to open it. Julia thought there might be candy or chocolate in there. To her surprise, when Michael opened it up there was an engagement ring inside! Michael got down on one knee and asked Julia to marry him and without hesitation she said yes! The next greatest chapter of their lives together was beginning!
