When we first began messaging each other, Mitchell invited me to a date at the aquarium. We sat in front of the otters for what seemed like hours. Eventually, we went inside because I got too cold! Our conversation flowed so well that I invited him to drinks after. From that night on, we became inseparable. I truly believed that "when you know, you know" was a myth that people would just say. From our first date though, I think we both knew that this was forever.

On March 14, 2024, we drove to Houston to spend the weekend with a few family members. We pushed our wedding back a year due to family medical issues, but we still had our heart set on our original wedding date. We went to the Houston Courthouse with our amazing parents and photographer. Riece cried the whole time and Mitchell swears he thought he was smiling, but it was perfect in its own special way. We are excited to spend time with friends and family at our wedding to celebrate our first year of marriage.
