FAQs

Question

Where do we fly into and where should we plan to book our stay?

Answer

The closest airport to the lake is Spokane International Airport (GEG) in Spokane, Washington. This is roughly a 1.5 hour drive to Sandpoint, Idaho, where we recommend our guests stay. Please see the 'Travel & Hotel Info' tab for more information.

Question

Are Uber or Lyft available in the area?

Answer

Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft are not available in Sandpoint, or any of the towns surrounding the lake. Luckily, Sandpoint is a very small and walkable town!

Question

How far is your wedding venue from downtown Sandpoint?

Answer

Our wedding venue (Beyond Hope Resort) is roughly a 30-minute drive from downtown Sandpoint. Buses will take guests from Sandpoint to our venue, and back at the end of the night. There is also a parking lot at the venue if you opt to drive.

Question

Can I bring a plus one, or my kids?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we’re only able to accommodate those specifically named on your Save the Date/Invitation. We hope you understand and are so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

Is your wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be outdoors with a shaded lakeside ceremony and tented reception space. Ladies—consider your shoe options, as we will be on gravel, the lawn and concrete. We recommend a block heel, wedges, or flats.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail Attire (Color encouraged!) We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or jumpsuit. Please avoid jeans and white or very light-colored dresses.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The Festival at Sandpoint will be happening July 24-August 3. Availability of accommodations may be limited, so please plan accordingly!

Question

What's the weather in Sandpoint typically like in late July?

Answer

Late July in Sandpoint is usually warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-90s. Evenings can be cooler, dipping into the mid-50s to 60s, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater if you tend to get chilly. It’s a beautiful time of year to enjoy the natural surroundings!
