Things To Do

If you're visiting for the weekend and have time to explore the area, here are some of our top suggestions!

National Gallery of Art

Constitution Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20565

Right on the National Mall, the National Gallery of Art houses an incredible collection of Western art—from Renaissance masterpieces to modern works. Admission is free, and both the West and East Buildings are worth exploring for their art and architecture.

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

2700 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20566

Overlooking the Potomac River, the Kennedy Center hosts everything from Broadway shows to performances by the National Symphony Orchestra and international artists. There’s always something going on— check the schedule to see what performances are ongoing during your visit!

Smithsonian National Zoological Park

3001 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20008

For fellow animal lovers, we recommend checking out the Smithsonian National Zoological Park! Founded in 1889, the Zoo is part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum and research complex. Its two campuses are home to more than 2,100 animals, including endangered species like giant pandas.

Great Falls Park

9200 Old Dominion Drive, McLean, VA 22102

Located just outside of D.C., Great Falls Park offers stunning views of waterfalls and hiking trails. It’s a peaceful escape and a great place to relax in nature.

Shenandoah National Park

VA

If you have some extra time, consider a day trip to Shenandoah National Park. With amazing hiking trails, stunning viewpoints, and wildlife, it’s a great destination for those who want to enjoy some hiking or simply relax in the beautiful mountain scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Korean BBQ

Northern Virginia is home to some amazing Korean BBQ spots. It’s a fun and delicious experience to enjoy together. Some of our favorite spots include Honest Grill, Sō Korean BBQ, and Gogiville. But feel free to explore, there are more options than you can count!

Korean Spa

If you're looking to unwind, check out King Spa in Chantilly or Spa World in Centreville. Both offer traditional Korean-style spa experiences with heated rooms, scrubs, and massages to relax both body and mind. You can easily spend the day relaxing—and even grab a bite at their on-site restaurants serving Korean comfort food.
