She is the sister Kate never had. Maddison and Kate met in middle school were nearly inseparable until they went opposite directions for college (Rhode Island and South Carolina). When in high school they re-arranged Kate's room to have the trundle bed permanently positioned so that they both had their own bed because that's how often sleepovers were. Kate met Kate because she was dating her cousin John, but they now just tell people that they’re friends, because they quickly became such a huge part of each other's lives. Kyle is Kate's younger brother and also one of Ricky's friends and soon-to-be brother-in-law. Kyle and Ricky both share a similar laid-back yet enthusiastic demeanor. Since Kyle lives out in Colorado they don't get to see each other as much as they'd like, but it is always a great time whenever they get to hang out together. Thank you to Coastal Carolina for randomly rooming these two together (I can't believe they thought it would be a good idea). From Coastal adventures to now both living in New Jersey, Cait is the friend you can always count on. Cait and Kate were known as "the kate's" at college and were infamous for playing Bruce Springsteen too loud in their dorm and having pre and post-game dance parties. Matthew is from Trinidad & Tobago, but Matthew and Ricky have worked together on boats off and on throughout the years and always have a great time together. A big shout out to JT O'Brien (Emma's husband) for bringing together Kate and Emma. JT and Kate worked together for years and once Kate and Emma met it was all downhill from there (for JT anyways). Chris and Ricky met fishing at a tournament together in Grenada and have been friends ever since. Coastal Carolina was also the reason for Kate and Avery becoming friends, their bond never faltered when Avery transferred schools and went back up to New England. Nash is the more shy counterpart to his big brother Jagger. Kate and Ricky were lucky enough to spend a lot of time with Nash as he was a newborn and took so much joy in watching him grow into the smart, sassy, and adorable toddler. When Ricky and Kate were deciding on who was going to marry them, they knew they didn't want someone "random". Realizing they wanted a family member or family friend to do the job, they quickly came to the conclusion it had to be no one other than "Mr. D". He has the best sense of humor, the biggest heart, and is all around the salt of the earth. Kate has known Mr. D since she was 3, he dealt with her sassy side until "she got him". Ricky quickly got Mr. D's stamp of approval upon meeting him at Kate's parents and bonding for hours over drinks and talking all things fishing and life.
