Christy and Alicia lived in the same dorm freshman year at JMU and became fast friends while dancing to Lil' Jon at one of many volleyball parties. Fast-forward 18 years and much has changed, but their friendship has stood the test of time. Alicia's first trip to NOLA was with Christy in 2017 and they're so excited to return to the scene of the crime together!
Tim Makosky
Best Man
Rick and Tim have been friends and frenemies since Tim was born and ruined Rick's only-child status. They spent their childhoods torturing each other and their sisters, and they've shocked their mom Lori by becoming such well-adjusted men. Rick was honored to serve as best man in Tim's wedding and is grateful to have Tim by his side for his own wedding.
Liz Stetzer

Liz and Alicia lived in the same dorms freshman and sophomore year and shared a lot of the same friends and interests. They started out as acquaintances and became friends, and when Liz met and fell in love with Alicia's brother Joey, they became family! Now Liz is a supermom to Alicia's niece and nephews and is the sister she never had!
Mark St. Aubin
Groomsman
Rick met Mark in 2005 while working on the scenic railroad in Cumberland, Maryland. While they only worked together a handful of times and neither stayed in Cumberland long term, their careers kept them on a similar path and they stayed connected, even from half a country away.
Renay Oliver

Renay was Alicia's first friend when she moved to New York, because they worked together while Alicia was interning in Pittsburgh. She introduced Alicia to many of the people who became her closest New York friends (most of whom will be joining us for the wedding!). Now Renay is family, as she joins the Stetzer/Dillinger clan each year on their Caribbean cruise (and competes against the father of the bride in the annual alcohol scavenger hunt!)
Aaron Snow

When Rick moved to West Virginia for a new railroad gig, Aaron took Rick under his wing. They bonded over being two outsiders in a tiny mountain town where the joke was that they were the only ones at their railroad who even knew how to spell "maintenance."
Arina Dillinger

Alicia's cousin Arina is the coolest 19-year-old she's ever met. Arina is incredibly talented, somehow managing to serve as captain of her high school soccer team, the lead in the school musical and a member of the homecoming court while getting a head start on her future career by working with elementary-age kids in their after school program. She's now in her sophomore year at Penn State Behrend, and we're so grateful that she will stand with us on our big day!
Clay Cravotta
Groomsman
Clay is Rick's oldest friend - they played together as babies and stayed close all through high school. No matter where life has taken them since, Rick has always known that he and Clay will always be there for each other.
Josh Hays
Officiant
Josh and Alicia met nearly 10 years ago at their first beach volleyball game with NYC Social Sports. They played on opposite teams, and I don't think either of them knows which team won, but they figured out pretty quickly which were the "fun" people. Before the night was over, Josh proclaimed that for the summer season we'd create a super team with only the most fun people, and Josh had the perfect name - We're Just Happy to Be'er. And so the Be'er team was created, and New York was never the same. Many years and several iterations later, the Be'er group is as tight as ever, despite being now spread out from New York to DC to Houston to Arizona to Colorado to Japan. In 2018 Rick and Josh became fast friends, and we both knew there was no one better to be our officiant than Josh!
