FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

On Friday, guests attending the rehearsal dinner and/or welcome party should dress in cocktail attire. Think dresses, blouses, button ups, and slacks. On Saturday, the dress code is black-tie optional. For women, we recommend full-length dresses. For men, please wear black suits or one of the many tuxedos in your rotation. If you've been waiting for your red carpet moment, this is your opportunity to buy that extra-fun, otherwise impractical gown! On Sunday, there is no dress code. If you'd like to roll up in your pajamas or run it back in your formal attire, we will welcome all. If you have any questions about attire, please reach out to Natalie Richter at (312)-350-5282

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

We will be providing transportation on a first-come first-served basis to the first 50 people, though we do believe this will accommodate most, if not all, of our out-of-town guests. Ubers and Lyfts are readily accessible from all points, and guests are welcome to mingle and carpool if they'd like! Old Town Trolley will be providing transportation to and from the Canopy hotel and Homewood Suites to the ceremony and reception. Ceremony 12:30pm - Departure to Christ the King Catholic Church 1:45pm - Departure back from the ceremony to the hotel Reception 5:00pm - Departure to Riverwood Mansion 9:30pm - Early bird shuttle back from Riverwood to Canopy and Homewood 10:30pm - Final departure from Riverwood back to Canopy and Homewood

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Both Christ the King church and Riverwood Mansion both have ample parking. We do ask, however, that if you plan on drinking to utilize a rideshare service or plan a designated driver for our event. *Please note, if you leave your car overnight at the reception, you will incur a $75 fee.

Question

Can I bring a date or my kids?

Answer

So that we can keep the intimate joy of our day, we are asking that only those listed on the invitation to join us. While we love all of the kids in our lives, this will be an adults only event.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00pm and guests are encouraged to arrive 30 mins prior. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30pm and will include wedding-related activities, so we please ask that you arrive on time so as not to miss any of the events!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We plan to use our hotel blocks as a central touchpoint for the weekend with both the after party and send-off brunch at the hotel. Therefore, we highly recommend staying at the Canopy Hotel or Homewood Suites for better rates, centralized location, and easy access to organized transportation and wedding activities. Please refer to the travel page for more information on these hotel blocks.
