We’re honored to have our cousins, Ivan and David, as our barijakters (flag bearers) for the wedding. In Croatian tradition, the barijakters carry flags throughout the celebration, symbolizing pride, joy, and unity. They lead the car procession through town, proudly waving the flags as horns honk in celebration, and their role continues at the reception, where they help keep the energy high and the festivities lively. The flags represent strength, honor, and the bond between families—and having Ivan and David as our barijakters is a meaningful way to carry on this cherished tradition.
