How else do people nowadays meet .... Tinder! Kristina had just moved to Baltimore and Patrick was stationed at the Fort Mead base when they connected online. Kristina reluctantly, aka pressure from her friends, said yes to meeting Patrick for drinks. From the start, we both hit it off and fell into each other rather effortlessly. After some time we finally caved in and decided to see where things go. The rest is history.
At the time, we were living together in Baltimore City with our two dogs and cat. On October 13th, Kristina's birthday, Patrick nonchalantly and inconspicuously said "I have one more birthday present to give you, but I must give it to you on the rooftop." Patrick was also acting very nervous the entire day and wouldn't sit still, so it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on. Patrick had written down everything he wanted to say on a birthday card and got down on one knee after Kristina finished reading it. It was by far the easiest yes.
Surprise, we're already married! We eloped on December 18, 2021, surrounded by our closest friends and our furry sons. We wanted an extremely intimate ceremony, but knew that eventually we would like to celebrate with everyone special in our lives. We are looking forward to this wedding as a celebration of our marriage and to treat it like a one year anniversary because ... why not!
