Michael and Raquel met in science class when they were 12. By chance, they both transferred to St. Anne in middle school, then luckily went to JSerra Catholic High School together. They had many of the same classes, and they'd regularly text each other for homework assignments, would chat in the hall between classes, and even spent a hand-full of detentions together. As the regular interactions grew, their friendship evolved into a relationship. They went to Junior Prom, Senior Homecoming, Winter Formal, and Senior Prom together. They graduated side by side, and sent each other off to college. After four years of long-distance, they were finally reunited. They moved into their first apartment together with their dog Anya, where they spent weekends walking to the local Korean BBQ spot to enjoy some hot sake and beef bulgogi. Another year went by and they moved into their first condo and spent their time curating their careers and building a strong foundation for their future together. On a recent trip to San Diego to prepare Michael to test for his Captain's License, Michael planned an afternoon in a local park filled with their favorite things like art, history, and good food. Later that afternoon, he asked her to marry him and without hesitation, she responded with a "yes!" They couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of their lives together. Who knew their story would begin in science class on the first day of 7th grade...
