Fulton Market District is where The Emily and Crowne Plaza Hotels are located. This is a smaller section of the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. The area consists of many amazing restaurants and fun things to do! We recommend checking out the Guinness Open Gate Brewery, Aba (Greek Restaurant), Lazy Bird (Speakeasy), Time Out Market, and The Puttery for some fun day and night time activities.
Along the Chicago River you'll see plenty of shops, stalls, and restaurants to enjoy known as the Chicago Riverwalk. Spending time strolling along the walking path or having a sit to sip on a coffee is a great way to spend a few hours and enjoy all the scenery downtown Chicago has to offer.
The Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the only free admission zoos in the world! They have a wonderful variety of animals to visit and iconic locations to take photos. Be sure to explore outside of the zoo as well as around Lincoln Park. This is where Kyle and Rachel took their engagement photos!
A must for first time Chicago visitors! The city is known for its river and groundbreaking architecture, so why not enjoy both at the same time. Average trip is around 90 minutes. We recommend Wendella, but there are several great boat tour companies to choose from. Be sure to grab a drink and enjoy the views.
If you're looking to explore some of the best Chicago's neighborhoods have to offer we highly recommend visiting Mindy's Bakery in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhoods. After you grab a delicious pastry and their iconic hot chocolate take a walk along the 606 Bloomingdale Trail or shop local vintage stores along Milwaukee Ave.
Chicago is home to many world renowned museums many of which are found on "The Museum Campus". Our favorites are The Shed Aquarium, Field Museum, and Northerly Island Park. We also love The Art Institute of Chicago which is more centrally located in The Loop. Included in exhibit are works by Seurat, Cassatt, Picasso, and van Gogh. You can spend the afternoon like you're Ferris Bueller!
Can't get enough of the local architecture? Explore an early construction of Frank Lloyd Wright's America's most famous architect. The house is located on The University of Chicago's main campus. After your tour, grab a coffee and walk around campus to soak in even more beautiful scenery.
