Getting Around the Okanagan

The Okanagan Valley is BC's hidden gem. We can't wait to share this beautiful region with you. Expect warm sunny days, cool nights and plenty of Canada's best wines. The wedding will be held in the village of Naramata, Richard's childhood home. The closest city is Penticton, about a 20 minute drive to the south. Naramata is a tourist destination, as the Naramata Bench has 40+ wineries along its 20km stretch! We recommend staying directly in the village of Naramata, as all wedding events are in a 10-min walking radius of Richard's childhood home (540 Robinson). There are several local motels in Naramata, the Naramata Centre accommodation blocks, as well as plenty of AirBnBs. Guests may also consider finding affordable accommodation in Penticton if they have access to a vehicle. There is limited public transit in the area. We recommend renting a car and carpooling with other guests.

Flight

Kelowna YLW | Penticton YYF

Kelowna is the closest major airport. It is about a 1.5 hour drive from the Kelowna airport to Naramata. There are several options for transportation: car rental, shuttle service, Kelowna Regional Transit, or ebus. You can also find flights into the small city airport in Penticton (YYF) if you're lucky!

Penticton to Naramata Bus

There is a regular bus route from Naramata to Penticton, the number 10 bus. You can refer Transitapp.com to plan trips. Depending on the number of guests staying in Pentiction, we may organize a shuttle service for our guests.

Naramata courtyard suites is centrally located in the Naramata village, within 5 minutes walking distance to the reception and ceremony, as well as the general store and restaurants/cafes

The Village Motel is in the centre of the Naramata Village, with a cute attached cafe and within 5 minutes walking distance to both the ceremony and wedding reception.
