Worth the wait its beautiful. The staircase is magical, the stainedglass ceiling and hand carved wood makes this one of the must see things in Porto.
Oporto Wine cellars
There are so many wine cellars, and you only need to do one tour of cellar but you can do tastings at any place. The tours get crowded so book ahead of time. Kopke, is oldest port wine house and if you book a tasting go to 2nd floor and request a table by the window. Taylors is the biggest port wine house and the tour is great. Mercado do Bolhão
Mercado do Bolhao is Porto's iconic historic market full of local character, fresh produce, flowers, and traditional foods. It's a great place for lunch where you can wander, snack and get a feel for the city's authentic rhythm. They have fresh raw oysters and the best boiled shrimp, and if in season, sea urchin and you can get cups of wine, port tonics and lots of other yummy food.
