Love shows up exactly when it’s supposed to — and in our case, with excellent timing. We met in our 50s and, within the first few months, both knew this was something special. We started dating just before Covid, and then suddenly found ourselves together in lockdown 24/7 — which is either the fastest way to find out if something is real, or to run for the hills. We really got under each other’s skin… and liked what we saw. Since then, we’ve built a life around the things we love most: time spent with friends and family, great food, good wine, travel, adventure, and running marathons around the world together. We’ve already crossed the finish line side by side at two World Marathon Majors — Berlin and Chicago — which feels pretty fitting for us: steady, determined, occasionally exhausted, and kinda crazy and whacky. Mostly, we just love being on the same team. Whether we’re exploring a new city, sharing a bottle of wine, or figuring out life one mile at a time, we know how lucky we are to have found each other. And now, onto our favorite adventure yet. Getting married!
