Oliver's Beer Garden

Fun beer garden right on the waterfront - walkable from the hotels and often has live music! And there's also putt-putt attached (or mini-golf for you New Yorkers). Ask the Courtyard hotel how to use the Skybridge for a quicker walk!

Oliver's Rooftop

Rooftop restaurant at the top of the Hampton Hotel with views of the water. Walkable from the hotels (use the skybridge) or a quick 1-2 min Uber.

Woody's Backwater Barge & Grill

Tiny barge bar on the water - you know the kind with dollar bills all over the walls. Get a Corona and pretend you're in Florida! Walkable from the hotels (use the skybridge).

Rum Runners

Another casual barge bar in front of Woody's - the Rum Runner frozen cocktail is deadly . . . beware! Walkable from the hotels (use the skybridge).

Presque Isle State Park

Presque Isle or "the peninsula" has 13 miles of beaches, walking paths, bike and kayak rentals, and more! Just a 5-minute drive from the hotels.

Presque Isle Lighthouse

A beautiful beach lighthouse dating back to 1873. Located on Presque Isle between beaches 8-9.

Erie Maritime Museum

Learn about Erie's maritime history including Oliver Hazard Perry, the U.S. Brig Niagara, and the historic 1813 Battle of Lake Erie. You'll learn why there are so many "Don't Give Up the Ship" flags in Erie.

Sara's Restaurant

An Erie summer classic - 50's style diner near the beach. Get a hotdog and an orange-vanilla twist for lunch and walk it off with a stroll on the Peninsula!

Waldameer Amusement Park

Take a ride on the Ravine Flyer rollercoaster before lunch at Sara's! Beautiful views of the lake and peninsula from the top of the coaster and the ferris wheel.

The 1020 Collective

1020 Collective is an art gallery and event space in downtown Erie. Co-owned and run by Shannon's cousin Sarah and her husband Rick, they have cultivated a special community for Erie's art scene to gather and display their work.

Food hall in downtown Erie about a 20-min walk or 5-min drive from the hotels. Features stands from various local restaurants with a full bar.

Calamari's Squid Row

An Erie downtown staple and TJ's favorite bar (Shannon's brother-in-law). Can get a little crowded on weekend nights but is a good time and has a nice backyard area.

Lavery Brewing Co.

Cozy brewery in downtown Erie - has board games!

Voodoo Brewing Company

Large, funky brewery in downtown Erie.

Altered State Distillery

Local distillery in the Greengarden Plaza. They often have live music during happy hour!

Pressed Books & Coffee

Cute bookstore + coffee shop next to Altered State Distillery. As you may know, Shannon is a book lover (so much so she made it her career!). Her childhood home is just a few blocks from this bookshop, so one of her favorite things to do when visiting home was to walk to the bookstore and browse with a coffee, and then go on a walk in the park across the street.

Romolo Chocolates

Historic chocolate shop in Erie. Try the famous sponge candy (Shannon always grabs some when she visits home) or the most indulgent ice cream you've ever had! Right next to Altered State and Pressed.
