FAQs

Question

I want to go but it's so far away!

Answer

That is okay! We completely understand and our feelings won't be hurt whatsoever. We hope to have the wedding recorded or livestreamed and we have a photographer hired so many pictures will be taken. We would love for you to come, but we promise it's okay if you can't!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Ideally, the sooner the better, since we will need to figure out a head count for catering. August 12th will be the last day you can RSVP unless told otherwise. We will be hunting you down for an answer if/when we have free time if you do not RSVP.

Question

I have a question about the Wedding, who do I contact?

Answer

You can reach out to either Rianne or Erik via facebook, email, or phone (call/text.)

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you are part of the wedding party, please show up by 1pm. If you are not in the wedding party, please show up by 2:30-2:45pm. The ceremony will begin at 3:00pm.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We suggest Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, or Best Western. You can also opt for Quality Inn, Days Inn, Victorian Inn, or several other lodging locations in York. If you would like to stay in Lincoln or Omaha and just drive to York for the wedding, that is also a viable option!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

All are welcome! We have a variety of food that should palatable for all. Noisy kids won’t bother us - we will have 900 other things going on in our heads. Just try to keep them a little quiet during the ceremony, but we know sometimes that can’t happen :)

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unless it was discussed with Erik or Rianne already, we unfortunately cannot transport others due to the time crunch. If you are unable to drive to the church from the hotel, there may be extra space in other family members’ cars. It would be worth asking them.

Question

Is there going to be alcohol?

Answer

Since we want this to be a family-friendly event and also respect those who do not imbibe, we will not be supplying alcohol. There will, however, be a mocktail bar that you are more than welcome to help yourself to! We hope you understand our decision - we believe a wedding can definitely be fun without alcohol!
