Ticonderoga Golf Course is a unique eighteen-hole public golf course located in the historic Lord Howe Valley, on the north end of Lake George in the heart of the Adirondack Park, near the site where Roger’s Rangers fought the renowned Snowshoe Battle. It also happens to be located directly next to our wedding venue making it an ideal outing!
This is a popular hike with an open summit giving you views of the Adirondack High Peaks. This moderate hike is a 900 foot ascent and 7.8 miles round trip. The best place to rest and enjoy the view is maybe 30 or so yards past the summit where there is a view of Pharaoh Lake.
A historic mountain, Defiance was leveraged to both attach and defend Fort Ticonderoga during the French and Indian War. The mountain overlooks Lake Champlain and the outlet of the La Chute River, which flows out of Lake George to the west and wraps around the north side of the mountain before emptying into Lake Champlain. Witness a birds-eye view of Fort Ticonderoga’s epic military landscape!
One of the most recognizable landmarks on all of Lake George, Roger’s Rock is a steep rock slide hundreds of feet above the water. Named for a English Colonial fighter during the French and Indian War who is rumored to have slid down the rock face, this 3 mile round trip will give you incredible views of the Queen of American Lakes.
