Group Shuttle from Florence

We are providing group transport from Florence Airport to the Castle on Friday, 22nd August for guests who have opted in for the group shuttle. Pick-Up Location: If you are arriving from the airport: once you exit the terminal and go outside, the meeting point is in the parking area to the left. If you are coming from the city centre by tram: the meeting point is in the parking area directly in front of the tram stop. If you have selected the group shuttle option, you should have received your assigned time slot via email. The shuttle schedule is as follows: Inbound Shuttle - Friday, 22nd August Bus 1: 12:30 → 13:30 Bus 2: 13:30 → 14:30 Bus 3: 15:00 → 16:00 Bus 4: 16:00 → 17:00 Please make sure you arrive in Florence with plenty of time before your assigned departure slot. Return Shuttle – Monday, 25th August The return shuttles will depart from the Castle back to Florence Airport: Bus 1: 08:00 → 09:30 Bus 2: 08:30 → 09:45 Bus 3: 11:00 → 12:15 Bus 4: 11:15 → 12:30

✈️ The nearest airports are: Florence (40km), Pisa (115km), Bologna (120km). Although farther away, flying into Rome and taking a train to Florence is another option. You can travel to Florence from Pisa via train which are very frequent and take approximately 1 hour.

Castello di Ristonchi is 35Km from Florence city centre. (Around a 45 minute drive). 🚘 A rental car is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Tuscany. Train
Closest Train Station: Pontassieve
The closest train station to the Castello is Pontassieve, which can be reached from any major city in Italy. You can take the train to Pontessieve (30 mins from Florence/2 hours from Pisa/1 hours from Bologna/2.5 hours from Milan/Rome/Venice). Once you're at Pontassieve train station, you can also take the Bus 343 A Saltino Centro up the mountain and get off at stop ‘Paterno_V’ in Pelago (15 mins) and coordinate pick up from there or if you don't have a lot of luggage you can take a beautiful forest walk to the castle (30 mins walk from bus stop).
