Am I invited to the ceremony?

Answer

We are having a small, intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family. Those invited to the ceremony have a special note on the back of their invitation, above the website address. If you don't have an invite to the ceremony, we still hope you will join us for the celebration!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kiddos! Kiddos are welcome, but please note that there will likely be some profanity, PG-13 conversations, cocktail-induced foolery, etc. etc. If our out of town guests would like to travel with kids and get a babysitter, we can make recommendations from our personal networks!

Is there parking?

Answer

There is an abundance of parking at the ceremony, but limited parking at the celebration. We suggest taking the light rail, car share, scooter....whatever tickles your fancy.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Anything from garden party to semi formal! Events will occur outside in natural terrain (think grass, gravel, etc). Therefore, we do not recommend stilettos. Most important to us is that you feel comfortable and authentically you. Charlotte can get pretty warm during the daytime in early October, and cool off at night. We recommend layers!

What if it rains?

Answer

The ceremony will be in a wooded area, and the reception will have tents. Ceremony and party will be rain or shine, unless it's severe weather... In which case we will chaotically come up with an alternate plan.

What if I have food allergies?

Answer

We want to do all we can to accommodate all guests. We plan to have vegan and gluten free options to accommodate common dietary restrictions/choices/lifestyles, but please let us know if you have more specific needs.

What is a grazing style dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be neither seated nor coursed. There will not be formal tables. We will have places to sit and perch, and food will be available throughout the course of the evening.

What about beverages?

Answer

We will be serving two custom cocktails, wine and beer, and non alcoholic beverages such as sparkling water and soda. This will be an open bar event - no cash needed.

Is my guest invited to all activities?

Yes! Guests are welcome for all.
