Things to Do at Brasada

While there is so much to explore in Central Oregon, if you want to stay on site there is plenty to do! From swimming at the pool, spa treatment, booking a tee time or exploring the trails by foot, bike, or even horse (yep!) Check out Brasada's website for all the possibilities.

Eat and Drink: Bend Ale Trail

Eat and Drink: Bend Ale Trail

For a thousand good reasons Bend, Oregon is widely known as the premier outdoor playground of the United States. But a lesser known element of the Bend Experience is the city’s extraordinary abundance of craft beer – incredibly delicious craft beer! In our little mountain town of 82,000 people, Bend has 10 world-class craft breweries-and counting-most all within walking distance of one another. Use the Bend Ale Trail Atlas Bend Discovery Map to discover Bend’s breweries – and for extra credit, head to our neighboring brewery in Sisters to visit the 8th! Be sure to get your passport stamped at each location. Some of our favorites include Bend Brewing Company, Worthy Brewing Company, and Sunriver Brewing Company

Hike, Bike, & Climb: Smith Rock State Park

Hike, Bike, & Climb: Smith Rock State Park

If you enjoy scenic views of deep river canyons or rock climbing, Smith Rock State Park is the place for you. There are several thousand climbs in the park. More than a thousand are bolted routes. We also offer miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Along your trip through the canyon, you might see golden eagles, prairie falcons, mule deer, river otter and beaver.

Eat and Drink: Bosa

1005 NW Galveston Ave, Bend, OR 97703

BOSA Food & Drink is a locally owned and operated neighborhood restaurant located inside the historic Bakery Building on bustling Galveston Avenue in Bend’s westside. Amongst the nuances of old Bend building styles and materials lies a casual and welcoming setting, filled with rich hard woods and Italian tile accents with a modern and timeless feel. Inspired by the food and wine culture of the old world, BOSA’s menus offer regional Italian and French specialties, including housemade pasta, hand-crafted throughout the day in our pasta room. The cuisine is seasonally driven and produced with the best local ingredients from the Pacific Northwest and European specialty purveyors. We work directly with select Central Oregon farms to obtain the highest quality produce, as well as sourcing our meats and seafood through responsible ranches and sustainable fishing practices.

Float: Deschutes River

Float: Deschutes River

Because of its proximity to downtown Bend, it’s no surprise the Deschutes River is incredibly popular. On a hot July day, the section of river through the Old Mill District becomes a sea of colorful tubes, especially by the afternoon. Plan to get an early start if you want a little more space to stretch your river legs. With its shallow water, the section of the Deschutes River that flows through Tumalo State Park just north of Bend is great for tubing. Narrow and rocky, you’ll float by boulders, a dramatic high desert shoreline, and some small rapids. For an hour float, take out in Tumalo. For a 2.5-3 hour voyage, continue north through open grasslands, sagebrush fields, and a few more rapids to Twin Bridges. Do not continue past Twin Bridges. A dangerous waterfall lies ahead that is not suitable for tubing.
