Make sure your flight will get you in by the 21st. For travellers coming in just that weekend, flights on the 19th from the US (depending where you are) should get you in by the 21st!
Contact either Adithya or Renu before December 2022 and we can get clothing for you. If you don't have Indian clothes or would rather wear American clothes, you are welcome to do so too!
No, we do not want to fight, unfortunately. There are local merchants in major U.S. cities and surrounding suburbs that sell clothes. Amazon, PanashIndia, and others that ship to the US may be good options online. One of our guest's mom has a site too, check it out here: https://www.moharbyec.com/ Local Shops: Fremont, Sunnyvale in the Bay Area Artesia Blvd near Los Angeles Devon St, Naperville, Schaumburg near Chicago Lexington Ave, or go to North Jersey if you are in New York City
We will have vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options for the first 2 days, crafted mostly by folks at the Intercontinental to capture a variety of cuisines. Alcohol will also be present for the first 2 days of festivities. On the 3rd day, we will have traditional South Indian vegetarian food and no alcohol served, per Hindu traditions. Don't worry, we will get you ~lit~ on the other 2 days if you prefer to be! Please let us know if you have any other dietary restrictions and/or allergies.
Due to the strict capacity limits for the resort (and limiting Renu's mom from 4000 people to 200 people), we cannot accept plus one's unless they are mentioned specifically on your invite sadly. Please contact us for any concerns or clarification.
Let's break it down: Mehendi: A celebration centered around the bride (Renu, if you haven't picked up on that yet) that involves intricate henna design and ~mimosas~ in our event. Haldi: Blessed by turmeric before the wedding, the bride and groom turn their sights on the spectating crowd, spraying and applying turmeric to anything that moves. Get ready for a colorful event! Sangeet: A night of dance and celebration in honor of the couple, and it is also your time to dance too! If you want to be a part of a dance number, reach out to Renu and she'll stick you in a group.
Hey Kelly! You can wear white or any other color your heart desires. You are also welcome to bring your most extra self and Renu will not be scandalized because she has like 10 outfit changes.

Our registry is linked on the website as a tab. Gifts aren't necessary, but if you'd like to support our travels, we have a honeymoon fund set up or we would love for you all to donate to some charities we think are important! Also, please provide any recommendations you have for Maldives, Egypt, Jordan, Jerusalem, Cyprus, Turkey and Greece!
Some other friends are planning trips in or around India before or after the wedding, so we can definitely connect you with folks. We would recommend sticking to the south and exploring places like Kerala since much of India will be very hot in April. Kerala is a rain forest climate and will be significantly cooler when compared to places like Delhi, Jaipur, etc. Contact Renu and she'll provide her mom's contact info for more details and assistance in planning a trip!
Since you all are coming out to India for our wedding, we will be covering hotel stay for everyone! So no need to worry about booking a room through the Intercontinental website since we've reserved the whole resort for the wedding.
Typical weather in Mahabalipuram in April: Temperature April 29.2°C | 84.6°F Temperature April max. 31.9°C | 89.3°F Temperature April min. 27.1°C | 80.8°F Precipitation / Rainfall April 24mm | 1 inches Water Temperature April 30°C | 85°F
The events tab lists all of the events and what the suggested attire is for each event. In addition to that, we'd recommend swimsuits since there's a pool and the resort has beach access as well. If you want to drink outside of the wedding events, we'd suggest bringing some alc because buying it through the resort may be expensive. Don't forget your sunscreen because it will be hot and sunny in Mahabalipuram.
