Traditionally, Indian weddings tend to be large and span over a couple of days. West Indian weddings are filled with vibrant colours, music, plenty of food and dancing. Although family members and close friends may have a role, the remainder of the guests are invited to sit back and enjoy!
For the Hindu ceremony, guests are certainly not expected to wear Indian attire but we do ask you to come dressed respectfully, as the mandir is on sacred grounds. Please make sure shoes are taken off at the door upon entering the building. As for the reception, the dress code will be formal attire.
Please RSVP online by April. 1, 2025.
Any monetary gifts you’d like to contribute will be greatly appreciated and we hope to use these gifts to put towards our first home.
Mehndi, otherwise known as henna is a temporary, organic paste associated with wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. It will be applied on the bride's hands and feet a day or two before the wedding with intricate patterns and the groom's name/initials, which will be hidden somewhere. He will then have to find it (shhh - if any of you find it before he does, don't tell him!)
Both our wedding & reception will be held indoors!
Hindu Temple: public street parking is available. Please abide by all road signs and avoid blocking private properties. Red Rose Reception: private on-site parking is available towards the back of the building.
Yes! We encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #fromramtosam so we can enjoy them too! We just ask for you to be mindful around your surroundings when coming up to take photos during the ceremony.
Due to the size of our guest list and the venue(s) capacity, we cannot accommodate additional family/friends. As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, we only have available seating for the guests listed on your invitation.
