FAQs

The Wedding Website of Renee Price and Samir Wagle
Hélène and Michel, the delightful and loving owners of Château Légier, sharing the history of the château during Renee & Lili's visit in November.
Question

Hot Weather!

Answer

Expect Hot Weather - daytime temperatures are currently 80-85 degrees and could be even warmer in 3 weeks! Make sure to bring sunscreen, sun hats, etc, as all of our wedding events are outdoors. Temperatures can get cooler in the evening (similar to California) so ladies you may consider bringing a wrap for Friday & Saturday night. Check temperatures on your weather apps in the next few weeks to be prepared.

Question

Covid & Travel

Answer

To travel TO France, you are required to show a valid vaccination card. To be safe, take a photo of it as well! To RETURN to the U.S., however, you must show a negative Covid test within 24 hrs of your flight home. The BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test is the test that is formally accepted by airlines to travel back to the U.S. This test can be purchased from eMed.com. It is a 6-pack - there are currently no options to buy single tests, however, it's a good idea to have extras on hand.

Question

Cars / Trains / Transportation

Answer

If you are renting a car, we recommend you reserve one now, if you haven't already! It is Provence's most popular season - both the French and tourists flock there during this time of year so it's wise to have both car and train reservations booked in advance in order to avoid frustrations later. Autoeurope.com is a good site to help you coordinate. If you are NOT renting a car, you can take a taxi from the train station to Fontvieille. Rome2rio.com is a great website to help coordinate. From our research, the cost is $70-$85 USD. However, Fontvieille is a small town so once you are there know that taxis/Uber are not common. *We'd like to hook you up with another guest that is driving to ensure you get to/from the wedding events with ease. Please email Renee if you have not rented a car and she'll connect you with someone that has.

Question

Getting To/From the Wedding Events

Answer

Friday night's welcome event is in St. Remy, which is a 15 min drive from Fontvieille. It is high season so parking may be difficult! We recommend arriving an hour earlier to find a spot and walk around - so many wonderful shops! We also think car-sharing is a great idea! Saturday's ceremony & cocktail hour will be at Château Légier (where Samir & Renee are staying). There is limited parking on site. For those of you staying at the hotel across the street, leave your cars there - you'll walk from the hotel to the Château and then return after cocktail hour to get your cars and drive to restaurant for the dinner reception. Saturday's reception dinner is also in Fontvieille and an 8 min drive from the Château. There is plenty of parking on site. You will drive up the private road and parking is to the right. Then you'll walk up the path/road to the restaurant.

Question

Charles de Gaulle Airport - delays!

Answer

**Important** For those of you flying back to the U.S. through Charles de Gaulle, please give yourself an extra 45 min-1 hour on top of normal suggested arrival times (which is generally 3 hours). Recent personal experience has shown us that CDG is extremely slow and a few of us have almost missed flights due to the lag times!

Question

WhatsApp Group Chat

Answer

Renee has put together a WhatsApp Group Chat for all of us. If you don't have WhatsApp, please download it. This will be an easy, efficient way to inform you of last minute updates and helpful tips. On event days, know that we (Renee & Samir) would love to answer texts from all of you, but we’ll likely be a bit tied up! There will be a point person for general questions - stay tuned for details.

Question

We want your videos!

Answer

Renee has coordinated a video editor to compile all of our cell phone video clips into one sweet "wedding video." Details to come on where to upload your videos after the wedding, but for now, know that we want you to have fun capturing moments throughout our time together! Our only request is to take videos horizontally (not vertically like we all tend to do naturally).

For all the days along the way
