Maid of Honor
Leah is my closest-in-age sister! We HATED each other growing up. We couldn't have been more different. Me, introverted and a lover a books, while Leah was a theater star. Thankfully, in adulthood, we have become best friends! We have travelled in London and all around SA together and I'm so thankful to have her help with planning this wedding!
Maid of Honor
My sweet, talented, stubborn sister! Amber and I are seven years apart. I was basically her driver when I was in HS and she was in elementary, carting her to her endless gymnastics practices. So grateful to have her be a part of the crew!
Bridesmaid
Sweet Emma! Emma is my last sister and we are exactly 10 years apart! She has the kindest soul and lights up every room.
Bridesmaid
My crazy cousin! I'm two months and 8 days older than her (which I used to tease her about when we were younger). Growing up, I was also so studious and Josilyn was always trying to take me to parties. During college, she was so excited that I would finally go out dancing with her. Now she's a mama to sweet Brayden and I'm so proud of her!
Bridesmaid
As one of my SLUzers, I have known Samantita for over a decade! She has been there for me through the highs and lows of college, adulthood, and being a teacher in the wild world of education. One of my fave memories with Sam is when we travelled to Ecuador one summer. We were working on a quinoa farm and had to take a bus from the airport to this tiny town. When we arrived, we had no idea how to get to the farm. We walked around town just asking people (in our very broken Spanish) "do you know Luis?" This girl is always up for an adventure and I adore her dearly.
Bridesmaid
Anna White was my random roommate freshman year of college. In one of her first FB messages to me, she asked how I felt about decorating our room "in a cow theme". I was like oh no I'm living with a weirdo. Thankfully it turns out she's my kind of weirdo!! Anna put up with me sleeping on the floor most nights so I wouldn't oversleep my 8am science lab (being pre-med was rough y'all) and we ended college by writing our honors thesis together. Anna is fiercely loyal and incredibly funny.
Bridesmaid
Molly and I met during TFA institute in Tulsa. We were suitemates and Molly loves to say how she thought I was a mean girl because I didn't talk to her and had long hair. LOL. Eventually, we became friends and ended up living together for our 2 years of TFA Indy. From running half marathons to long nights out in Broad Ripple and everything in between, Molly became one of my best friends and I'm so glad to have her as part of the crew on this big day.
Bridesman
Mr. Mahoney. One of my TFA lovers. Sean and I have gone on countless adventures during our years in TFA. He is one of my biggest supporters and is always down to have fun.
Bridesmaid
One of my oldest friends! Margaret and I have known each other since the first grade and in HS we did everything together! From running relay for life to semi-stalking the cool kids in the price cutter parking lot (lol) we were inseparable! Margaret and her sister visited me a few years ago in Cape Town and it was a riot. So happy to have her as a part of my big day.
Best Man
Mo's best friend!
Groomsman
Marcquis is a character! He is my (Renee) cousin and we once were roommates when we both lived in my aunt kathy's basement for a summer.
Groomsman
Cousin, fellow Ariana Grande lover, and dog dad! TT is a sweet soul and I can't wait to see his smile light up the dance floor.
Groomsman
Renee's uncle and close friend! Uncle Justin is my mentor and role model. He came to visit me in SA when I first studied abroad in 2013. I took him to hike up Devil's Peak and he was so nervous he and his friend recited the entire plot to House of Cards in order to distract themselves from the steep drop we were walking on. Not sure if he has ever forgiven me for that.
Groomsman
Uncle Justin's husband so he is Uncle Ben! Another kind soul and super talented party planner/magazine marketer/all the talents kind of person! We are lucky to have him!
Groomsman
Renee's brother and the wedding party's resident gen-Z/culture advisor
Groomsman
Leah's boyfriend and social justice extraordinaire
Flower Girl
Natalie is my cousin Mandy's daughter and is being raised by my wonderful Aunt Kim and Uncle Jimmy
Ring Bearer
Sweet baby Brayden is my cousin Josilyn's son
Officiant
Lara and I did the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship together in 2018. We lived in Polokwane, worked in a rural school, and travelled all across SA. Lara was there when I met Mo and is one of our closest friends. We are so happy to have her marrying us!
