Dylan and I have been together for a decade, and by the time the wedding rolls around, it’ll be 11 years (eek, that’s nearly half our lives), which is crazy to think about. We actually played Little League soccer together as kids, although Dylan refuses to remember it. There’s photo evidence. It happened. We met again as almost-teenagers and have basically grown up together ever since. We’ve watched each other change, made some great decisions and some questionable ones, gotten a little carried away with owning pets, become part of each other’s families, and built a whole life together along the way. Getting married doesn’t really feel like the beginning of something new for us because we’ve already been doing life together for so long. It feels more like celebrating everything we’ve already built and choosing to keep doing it together. We’re really excited to finally make it official and have all of our family and friends there with us to celebrate.
